GoFormz

Streamlining your mobile forms can be an essential win for your business.   With a tool like GoFormz, you can build all of your internal forms into mobile forms so that your entire team can process these forms from any of their devices.

Alongside your mobile forms, you can also use WebMerge to automatically generate all kinds of documents like contracts, letters, and more.  You’ll never need to copy & paste data into documents ever again!

In this example, we’re going to show you how to instantly generate a contract when one of our team members submit an order form in the field.  We’ll then send the contract over to HelloSign so that our customer can sign in seconds.

To get started, we’re going to setup the template for our contract using a Word document.  Inside our Word document, we’re going to add our boilerplate contract information, then for the spots the we want to enter our customer’s information, we’re going to use merge fields like {$FirstName}, {$LastName}, etc.

Here’s what our contract template looks like:
 


Since we’ll be collecting an e-signature via HelloSign, we need to add a signature tag to our document so that HelloSign knows where to embed the signature in our contract.  This tab is just like any other text in our document and looks like:  [sig|req|signer1]
 


Once we have our template finished, we need to upload it to WebMerge.  From the Documents page in WebMerge, click the New Document button and enter a name.  On the next step, select Office Document as the document type and then pick the file from your computer.
 


After we’ve uploaded our template to WebMerge, we’ll be taken to the Settings tab where we can modify various options like the type of file we want to produce and the name of the file.  For this example, we’re going to generate a PDF and include the name of our customer in the file name.
 


Next, we’re going to setup the delivery of our document to HelloSign so that it is automatically sent out for signature.  From the Deliver tab, click the New Delivery button and then select HelloSign from the list.  After you enter your API Key, you’ll need to pick the merge fields for the signer’s email address and name.
 


Once we’ve finished the HelloSign delivery, we’re done with the setup in WebMerge and we’re ready to integrate with GoFormz.  To help with the integration, we’re going to use our friends over at Zapier.

Inside Zapier, we’re going to create a New Zap.  For the trigger, we’re going to choose GoFormz as the service and then Completed Form as the trigger.
 


Once you authenticate your GoFormz account, Zapier will have you pick the form you want to monitor.  Go ahead and select the form.

Next, we’re going to setup the Action of our Zap.  We’re going to choose WebMerge as the service and then Create Document Merge as the action.
 


Once you authenticate your WebMerge account, Zapier is going to load a list of all the documents in your WebMerge account.  Go ahead and pick the contract you just setup and Zapier will load a list of all the merge fields in your template.

For each of the merge fields, you need to pick the corresponding fields from GoFormz.  This tells Zapier how to send your data over to WebMerge so that it is populated in the correct spot on our template.
 


After you have matched up all of your merge fields, go ahead and save your Zap and turn it on.  We’re ready for a test!  Login to GoFormz and submit a test submission then Zapier will send that data over to WebMerge and your contract will be generated.
